Provides an overview of the counselor/client relationship. The following areas will be covered: counselor affectiveness, uniqueness of the counseling relationship, establishing a rapport, the treatment process, termination, transference and counter-transference, ethical issues, various approaches and techniques employed in individual and group counseling, and cross-cultural issues. Required for recredentialing.
