| This semester long program consists of 107 classroom hours of training and will include 30 hours on the perspectives of chemical/alcohol dependency; 12 hours on the Alcoholism Primer; 19 hour of diversity and treatment approaches; 9 hours of training for the addictions professional, including 12 step and other self help groups; 15 hours on psychoactive drugs and their physical and mental effects; and 22 hours in experiential work groups. Attendance and participation is required in all sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion.
