Program Overview
SUNY Orange's High School Equivalency (GED) program will help prepare you for the GED Test. Our classes focus on Reasoning through ELA, Mathematics Reasoning, Science and Social Studies.
SUNY Orange holds classes in three Orange County locations: Newburgh, Middletown, and Port Jervis. However, we are currently offering our classes online.
Does SUNY Orange offer the GED program in Spanish?
Yes! Please check our schedule for the upcoming Spanish GED class.
What is the schedule like?
Classes are held four times per week. Choose between either morning or evening class sections.
Who can Register?
Students age 18 and older can register.
How do I register?

How much does the class cost?
The fee for a GED class is $10.
What subjects do you need to pass on the GED Test?
We provide instruction in the four subject areas covered on the GED: Reasoning through ELA, Mathematics Reasoning, Science and Social Studies. We assess students to see where you stand and provide you with assistance in getting to the test.
